Enrollment

County of Orange will enroll you and begin making contributions to your health reimbursement arrangement (HRA) as soon as you become eligible. Here’s a list of what to expect and what you should do.

  1. You may receive an enrollment confirmation email from Gallagher HealthInvest HRA. Don’t worry if you miss this email.
  2. We will mail you a paper welcome packet after your first contribution from the County of Orange has been deposited into your new HRA. This packet will contain your account number, account balance, investment allocation, and more.
  3. After receiving your enrollment confirmation email or welcome packet, just follow the instructions. You’ll want to:
    1. Register online and create a username and password for added security;
    2. Check your investment allocation at least annually and update it, if needed; and
    3. Elect e-communication in lieu of paper—it’s faster and more secure. 
  4. You can begin using your HRA after separating or retiring from County of Orange. We will notify you and provide instructions on how to submit claims when your HRA becomes claims eligible. In addition, a Benefits Card (debit card) will be mailed to you at that time. You can use your Benefits Card to pay for qualified medical items and services directly from your HRA without having to submit claims.
